To commemorate the first snowfall of the year...


This little ditty here was actually a bit of a speed painting exercise. In wanting to gauge how far my digital painting has come, I decided to see how fast I could take a painting from conception to finished piece. I completed this one in two days, with just under 5 hours total painting time. It's entitled "The Fall Goodbye", and was inspired by a comic entitled "The Robot and the Sparrow" by Jake Parker. His comic can be found in the anthology "Flight" volume 2. Gotta give credit where it's due. Anyway, I decided to post it in honor of our first real snowfall of the year here in Milwaukee. Shoveling snow sucks...
